Peter Chianca has been a newspaper journalist since 1992, following an ill-advised stint in textbook publishing. Please don't ask him about it because he still gets cold sweats. His humor column has appeared in some form ever since that time, and began running weekly in North Shore Sunday -- Massachusetts'  largest circulation weekly newspaper -- in February of 1998.

The columnist in repose

It's since become a staple in the Boston Herald (the 36th largest newspaper, by circulation, in the country -- we looked it up!), several editions of the Metro West Daily News, and numerous Herald Media weeklies in Eastern Massachusetts. Peter lives on the North Shore of Massachusetts  with his wife and two children, where his hobbies include trying to get  more sleep and ... well, that's it.
